"Activating the ANC helps to reduce the volume of distant and nearby sounds around you. Especially brighter tones, like distant road noise or the higher notes of a conversation, become less audible. Constant background sounds, like static humming or the cabin noise in an airplane, are also softened well. However, irregular and darker sounds still come through easily. They're reduced, but present."
