This required a hardware device to flash the screen, but we were pleased that it seemed to help. The tests in the following section are using this V2 firmware. If you have already bought the screen then you will have a V1 firmware which will likely show high levels of blurring and smearing when gaming at high refresh rates. LG have confirmed that users will be able to contact their country's LG service and support team to arrange to send the screen back for an update in the near future, once internal testing has been completed. It will not be possible for users to update the firmware themselves. The new firmware is still being internally tested, but once that has been completed the LG service teams will be able to help.
